Who this fits

A strong fit

  • You're buying or expanding an established U.S. business with a history of cash flow
  • You can put equity into the deal, from savings, a partner or part of a seller note
  • You have acquisition or industry experience a lender can underwrite
  • You want the loan, seller terms and required insurance handled together

Probably not a fit

  • The business has no operating history or tax returns yet
  • The purpose is passive real estate investing (see our real estate financing)
  • You need funds in days rather than weeks

How it works

  1. Tell us about the deal

Apply online in about ten minutes. Share the target, price and what you plan to put in.

  2. We structure and match

We model debt service coverage, shape the seller note and equity, and take the file to lenders that fit.

  3. Close as one package

Loan, seller terms and any required life insurance land together at closing, so nothing holds the deal up.

Questions owners ask

How much do I need to put down?

For a full change of ownership, SBA lenders typically look for about 10% buyer equity. Under current SBA rules a seller note can cover part of that when it's on full standby. We confirm the exact structure against the lender's requirements for your deal.

Why would the lender need life insurance?

SBA lenders often require coverage on key owners, assigned to the lender, so the loan is protected if something happens to you. DDT Wealth is licensed to place it, which saves you a separate process late in the deal.

How long does an SBA loan take?

Acquisitions commonly take 45 to 90 days from complete application to closing, depending on the lender, third-party reports and the seller's paperwork. We'll give you a realistic timeline after reviewing your file.

What will you need from me?

Typically three years of business and personal tax returns, a personal financial statement, the purchase agreement or letter of intent, and a résumé showing relevant experience.

How are you paid?

Our compensation is disclosed to you in writing before you commit. Where state law requires a cost disclosure, you receive it before signing.
